NMB renews its card issuance contract with Masria Digital Payments for another 2M cards.

Committed to expanding banking services to all of Tanzania, National Microfinance Bank (NMB) Tanzania largest bank has renewed its card issuance contract with Masria Digital Payments (MDP) May 2021.

MDP issued NMB’s first Mastercard Cards back in 2016 and has issued now with NMB more than 5M Mastercard Cards. As the regional leader in Digital Payments, MDP has a proud track record of providing more than 180 financial institutions with more than 400M Cards across the past 25 years leveraging on the latest technologies in card production and processing.


Leaders in their respective fields, both NMB and MDP are working together to provide customers with dual interface Mastercard chip cards (EMV) in a secure and convenient manner. The EMV card, which facilities secure transactions at Point-of-Sale (POS), also supports a safe and contactless payment experience for the consumer.
